Zhuldyz Alimbek

UX Researcher, Houghton Mifflin Harcourt

Zhuldyz is a UX Researcher at Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, a global education company focused on fostering passionate, curious learners. With a background in Cognitive Science, Zhuldyz is passionate about understanding the human mind and designing products that meet users’ needs. She has experience conducting both generative and evaluative research and believes in the power of user-centered design. As a person, Zhuldyz loves observing and studying human behavior and is particularly captivated by the digital space and its opportunities for creating exceptional user experiences. In her free time, she is an avid social dancer and former instructor of bachata and salsa.

Before joining Houghton Mifflin Harcourt, Zhuldyz worked on projects researching the neuropsychological effects of dance on Parkinson’s patients in collaboration with Canada’s National Ballet School and conducted ethnographic research to explore the environment of orphans in institutional care in former USSR countries, with a focus on Kazakhstan.

With her expertise in user research and dedication to creating exceptional user experiences, Zhuldyz is excited to share her insights with the audience at Pendomonium.
